The Library⁺ offers training sessions, consultation appointments, and library tours for various target groups. It also provides interactive self-study resources, networking opportunities for lecturers, STEM programs, and more.

With the help of our counseling and training services, you will receive answers to your questions about literature research as well as tips and tricks for using various search tools. Many questions can be clarified in individual counseling. You can obtain more detailed information in our training courses.

Our interactive self-study courses offer you the opportunity to find out more about various library-related topics from the comfort of your own home.

We organize various exchange formats for lecturers. Specifically for (early-career) researchers, experts from Bibliothek⁺, the University of Applied Sciences, and other institutions provide insights into various aspects of scholarly publishing as part of the online lecture series “Fachwissen zum Mittag” (Lunchtime Expertise).

Employees of the Fachhochschule Dortmund can use the library classroom at the Emil-Figge-Str. 44 location for their own (teaching) events by arrangement. The BibLounge at the Sonnenstraße location can also be used for events and meetings.

In addition, you will find information on our website about artificial intelligence in education, our programs for students in STEM fields, the Ruhr Master School, and opportunities to begin a career as a teacher at vocational colleges.
