LinkedIn Learning video platform

LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) offers access to a wide range of learning videos on various study and career-related topics.

An account with the professional social network LinkedIn is not a prerequisite for using the LinkedIn Learning video platform. However, LinkedIn users have the option of linking their account to LinkedIn Learning.

Instructions for registration

FH members can register with their FH e-mail address (...@fh-dortmund.de or ...@stud.fh-dortmund.de). To do this, go to the following page:

Now proceed as follows:

  • Enter your FH e-mail address (see above).
  • In the window that opens in the browser, you have the option of deciding whether you want to link your existing LinkedIn account or use the platform without it. If you do not have a LinkedIn account, click on "Continue without LinkedIn".
  • If you are asked to link your LinkedIn account again in the next window, click on "Do not link my account".
  • Now enter your FH e-mail address again and click on "Send verification code". Do not close the browser window.
  • You will receive an automatic e-mail with your personal verification code. You can now enter this in the browser window.
  • Set a password and click on "Create".
Note: As only a limited number of licenses are available for LinkedIn Learning, we reserve the right to remove accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months. A new account can then be set up if required.
