Thanks to a grant of around EUR 2,000 from the Karl Kolle Foundation, the Fachhochschule Dortmund's women's project lab has been able to expand its equipment for additive manufacturing processes with accessories and purchase new 3D printers and 3D pens.
The women's project lab implements creative STEM and technology projects with girls, especially in connection with 3D printing. The aim is to teach the girls skills in the field of additive manufacturing and the creation of three-dimensional objects. Their self-efficacy in handling technical equipment and confidence in their skills in STEM disciplines should also be strengthened.
In general, the Karl Kolle Foundation supports projects in the fields of science and research as well as education and training. Applications from the Dortmund area in particular are supported.
