Published

Supporters and patrons came together at the Westfälischer Industrieklub.

Thanks to the commitment of companies, private individuals, foundations, clubs and associations, there will be 101 scholarships for particularly talented and committed students at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts in the 2023/24 funding year. They receive 300 euros per month. A total of 39 cooperation partners support the Deutschlandstipendium at Fachhochschule Dortmund.

At the scholarship ceremony at the Westfälischer Industrieklub on November 9, 2023, the sponsors came into conversation with the recipients. Rector Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel thanked the sponsors in her welcoming speech. She emphasized that Fachhochschule Dortmund prepares its students for practical work in the best possible way in order to provide partners from Business Studies with well-trained specialists. The support provided by a scholarship makes a valuable contribution to this.

New members in the 2023/24 funding year are the Ruhr-Lippe Employers' Association, the companies Dreve ProDiMed GmbH, eck*cellent IT GmbH and Harpen Immobilien GmbH as well as Iris Turcksin as a private individual.

Germany Scholarship with public and private funds

With the Deutschlandstipendium, half of the financial support is donated by private sponsors and companies recruited by Fachhochschule Dortmund, while the other half comes from a federal government funding pot. Outstanding academic performance is one of the criteria used to select scholarship holders. However, a special educational background or social commitment can also qualify for funding. The funding period is one year.
