Dortmund University Days provided orientation

Published

The Dortmund University Days at the University of Applied Sciences provided a special insight.

What could you do after school? Pupils were given helpful advice at the Dortmund University Days (DHT) 2024. Our university of applied sciences also provided information about study options - including advice services and campus tours.

Numerous prospective students kicked off the new year with the DHT on January 17 and 18, 2024. Pupils from the region in particular took the opportunity to take a look around the UAS locations(Opens in a new tab)  on Emil-Figge-Straße, Max-Ophüls-Platz and Sonnenstraße, talk to people and ask questions.

Practical tips and insights

For example, visitors learned how to find a study program(Opens in a new tab)  that suits them: How do you make an informed decision? How can you identify your own interests and abilities? Student advisors provided answers to these questions and practical tips for choosing a course of study.

Whether smart home, theater arts, marketing, 3D printing or lightning strikes and much more: all faculties(Opens in a new tab)  of the university of applied sciences provided insights into different focal points. The Women's Project Lab(Opens in a new tab)  and the Central Student Advisory(Opens in a new tab)  Services (ZSB) also introduced themselves.

In addition to practical giveaways such as an FH scarf or FH text markers, the wheel of fortune offered prizes including coffee vouchers for the canteen.

Digital parents' evening

After the two face-to-face days, a digital parents' evening on January 22, 2024 rounded off the DHT. Advisors from the universities, the employment agency and the Studierendenwerk were involved. The presentations on topics such as financing your studies or applying will soon be available on the DHT website(Opens in a new tab) .
