Studying in Dortmund as a refugee

Fachhochschule Dortmund offers support for people from crisis and war zones who were unable to start studying in their home country or had to drop out.

Refugees are welcome at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts!

The offer is aimed at refugees who would like to study in Germany and are permitted to do so on the basis of their certificates from their home country. Fachhochschule Dortmund has been offering advice and German courses for this target group since November 2015.

From 2020, there will also be places on the German courses for international prospective students without refugee status. Please also note our scholarships for enrolled international students with refugee experience.
