Profile
The laboratory for electrical machines, which was redesigned in 2020, is equipped with a test bench for electric motors including a brake motor. Power can be supplied directly via the mains or a frequency converter. Power meters and data loggers are available for recording series of measurements.
The laboratory has several Lucas-Nülle test benches, particularly for use in courses, where students can learn the basics of the operating behavior of electrical machines in practice.
PC workstations are also available. These are used both for evaluating measurements and for final theses. The OpenModelica and Dymola software is available for modeling and simulating electrical machines and the entire drive train.
