"Together less..."

Energy-saving campaign enters its second season

Published

Fachhochschule Dortmund has once again set itself the goal of saving as much electricity and gas as possible this year. The second season of the "Together less..." campaign is underway.

Following last winter's success, the University's Sustainability Office (CSR Office) has set a new target: 10 percent less heating energy during the heating period. A temperature-adjusted average value from previous years serves as a reference. Electricity consumption is to be reduced by 10 percent throughout the year. Here too, an average value from previous years will be used as a benchmark. In order to achieve these goals, all students, lecturers and employees are called upon to actively participate in the campaign.

On the website www.fh-dortmund.de/energiesparen(Opens in a new tab) , the CSR Office provides information about the goals of the campaign and gives tips on how to save energy: How should the heating be set? How do you ventilate properly? What are the benefits of switching off the lights during the break? The CSR Office will also be on site at the Sonnenstraße, Max-Ophüls-Platz and Emil-Figge-Straße locations with campaign stands, handing out thermometers, information stickers, timers and sockets with switches. Checklists are available for work in laboratories, seminar rooms, workshops and offices to make saving energy as easy as possible.

Please send an e-mail to energiesparenfh-dortmundde  for information on further potential savings.

By the way: In the winter of 2022/23, Fachhochschule Dortmund saved around 20 percent heating energy at all locations compared to previous years.
