Learning from NRW" conference

Fast facts

Information

The Master’s program in Urban Design NRW was launched 20 years ago—and remains to this day a unique example of inter-institutional cooperation between Bochum University of Applied Sciences, the Technical Universities of Detmold and Cologne, Fachhochschule Dortmund, and the University of Siegen.

The symposium is dedicated to the current challenges and future prospects of urban design, urban planning, and their integration into teaching, research, and practice.

The first day of the event opens with the session “Quo Vadis Urban Design – Linking Practice, Teaching, and Research” and presentations by Johanna Debik (Montag Stiftung Urbane Räume), Robin Höning (endboss), Verena Schmidt (Teleinternetcafe), and Laura Veronese (Studio Futura). The event will conclude with the keynote address “The City Is No Longer Enough” by Kaye Geipel, followed by a joint anniversary celebration at the Osthof.

On the second day, the focus will be on inter- and transdisciplinarity in urban planning education—featuring perspectives from students and graduates, as well as presentations by Maren Harnack (FAUS Frankfurt) and Stefan Hartlock (Hartlock Städtebau).

We also cordially invite you to a get-together.

The detailed program and the registration link for the event can be found in the attachment to this email.
