Deutschlandstipendium - Support young talents

Sponsor educational success. Fachhochschule Dortmund awards scholarships of 300 euros per month to students - cooperatively financed from public and private funds.

The advantages of the Deutschlandstipendium are explained by scholarship holders and sponsors as well as Rector Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel.

Since 2011, Fachhochschule Dortmund has been supporting Bachelor's and Master's students of all disciplines and nationalities by awarding scholarships as part of the nationwide Deutschlandstipendium program. In addition to academic performance, social commitment and social criteria are also taken into account when selecting scholarship holders.

The special feature of the Deutschlandstipendium is the cooperative support provided to students by the federal government and private sponsors such as companies, foundations, associations and private individuals: For every €1,800 of funding donated by a private sponsor, the federal government doubles the total amount of €3,600. This means that the scholarship holders receive €300 per month for the duration of one year.

The aim is to support young, committed people on their educational path and encourage them in their personal development . In addition to the financial support, the non-material support of the scholarship holders is therefore also an important component of the program.
