Institute for Higher Education Didactics: The central academic institution for teaching and studying

The primary goal of the Institute for Higher Education Didactics is to further develop, secure and improve the quality of teaching and studies in a future-oriented manner. By bundling various areas of expertise under one roof, topics and content are linked with technologies and didactic methods.

With its three departments Innovative Teaching, ILIAS Competence Center and Department for Study Support Services, the Institute for Higher Education Didactics offers lecturers and students information, further training and counseling on various topics relating to teaching and studying.

In 2023, the Institute for Higher Education Didactics once again organized the Teaching Day. With this event, we want to offer researchers, teachers, students and external experts the opportunity to exchange ideas about current challenges and innovative approaches in higher education. On November 3, 2023, higher education didactics was examined in the field of tension between social challenges such as educational justice, diversity and sustainability on the one hand and technical leaps in development such as AI applications on the other. The anniversary celebration of the university's internal internationalization support from the International Office took place directly afterwards.

In order to integrate the Institute for Higher Education Didactics into the structure of the university and to develop topics from the faculties in a future-oriented manner, the Institute for Higher Education Didactics has an advisory board. This is made up of the following people:
