Are you an international Master's student at Fachhochschule Dortmund or an international student at Dortmund University of Technology? Would you like to establish contact with German families outside the campus and get to know your new home country better? Then the Senior Mentoring Program is a great offer for you!
Thanks to regular meetings with the mentors, you will have the opportunity to learn more about German culture, get to know Dortmund and the region better and improve your language skills. During joint activities such as excursions, museum visits and hikes, you will explore the Ruhr region and make new contacts. Discussions and regular meetings with native speakers (=the senior students) give you the chance to practise your German in a relaxed atmosphere. Support with written work, e.g. checking grammar etc., is also offered!
The sponsorship program is a cooperation between us, the International Office of Fachhochschule Dortmund, the International Office of TU Dortmund University and Faculty 12 (Continuing Education for Senior Citizens) of TU Dortmund University.
