Individual & group workstations

At the Emil-Figge-Str. 44 location, the reading room on the 3rd floor offers 72 workstations for quiet and undisturbed individual work. There is also a height-adjustable workstation where you can study and work standing up if necessary.

There are also a further 24 individual workstations on the 2nd floor, including one barrier-free workstation. This is height-adjustable and equipped with a PC specially designed for the blind and visually impaired. There is also a parent-child corner with children's books right next to it.

At the Sonnenstraße location, 16 individual workstations are available in the library. There is a soundproof telephone booth in the study area for telephone calls and video conferences.

In addition, the work areas in the corridor in front of the entrance to the library can also be used for individual work. There is space for a further 20 people here.

The library at Max-Ophüls-Platz offers its users ten individual workstations.

Four group study rooms are available on the 3rd floor at the Emil-Figge-Str. 44 location. The rooms can be booked by students in groups of at least three people to study and work together, as well as by lecturers for events.

At the Sonnenstraße location, there is a group study area in the reading room that offers space for around 60 people to study and work.

In the corridor in front of the entrance to the library, five work areas separated by soundproof partitions provide additional space for group work. The alcoves can be used by up to four people each.

At the Max-Ophüls-Platz location, up to eight people can study and work as a group in the rear reading room.
