Lecture series "Building with plant fibers"

The lecture series in the winter semester 2024/25 focuses on the topic of "Building with plant fibers", also known as "plant fiber-based construction". A sustainable and environmentally friendly construction method based on the use of plant-based materials such as straw, hemp, flax, bamboo or reed. The materials are biodegradable, renewable and offer good insulation properties, which is why they are becoming increasingly popular in ecological architecture. We have invited six guests, some of them international, to shed light on this exciting topic.

The lectures take place in presence and start on Thursdays at 18:00 in the lecture hall of the department. For the recognition of the module EV 3 /Bueroperspektive/ the participation in presence is required.

Members of the AKNW can have the lectures recognized with 2 continuing education points. Participation in presence is required for this.
