Manufacturers and application developers are involved in the project in order to test innovative technologies and design new service concepts in the Semantic Building Lab - beyond the previous technological boundaries.
In line with the guiding principle of "building as a service", SENSE uses concepts for interoperability with the methods of semantic models. In addition, the necessary basic components for efficient application development are developed and flexible IP-based structures of spatially distributed intelligent subsystems are described. Semantic interoperability enables digital and hybrid value-added offers around the networked building and the integration of buildings into higher-level digital structures such as smart cities, smart grids, etc.. The focus here is on user interests worthy of protection, increasing demands on IT security, system performance and the design of flexible access rights to building and user data.
