Based on the fundamentals of Microsoft's .NET technology, the thesis presents the implementation of a client/server application within a distributed architecture that conforms to the IEC 61850 station control technology standard by means of a special interface definition. Selected function nodes are presented as examples and their client/server communication is described using the .NET remoting framework.
