Contacts and committees

In order to receive further funding from the 5th semester onwards, a certificate of achievement in accordance with § 48 BAföG must be submitted to the Studentenwerk Dortmund. The required certificate with the individually achieved ECTS credit points can be requested from the responsible clerk in the Office for Student Affairs. The required credits have been completed if the number of points achieved corresponds at least to the number of points that is considered usual according to the faculty. The certificate issued by the Office for Student Affairs is a substitute for Form 5.

Only in the case of BAföG abroad or in special individual cases must the BAföG officers of the faculties be involved.

The subject committees are responsible for all curricular matters and quality assurance measures of the joint degree programs. This includes in particular

• Participation in the development and updating of the concept of the joint degree program,
• ensuring the completeness and quality of the courses on offer and the deployment of academic teaching staff for face-to-face courses,
• Suggestions for the appointment of authors of the study material and technical support in its creation

The Examination Board is responsible for carrying out the examination procedures in the respective study program as well as the tasks assigned by the study program examination regulations. It must ensure that the provisions of the examination regulations are adhered to and that the examinations are conducted in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.

The Examination Board is also responsible for the following tasks in particular:

• Determining the dates of module examinations,
• Appointment of examiners,
• Recognition of modules, ECTS points and the examination achievements assigned to them at other universities,
• admission to module examinations and the final examination.
