Annual events
Dortmund University Days
The Dortmunder Hochschultage (DHT) are information days where pupils can find orientation in the university context. In well over 200 events, all Dortmund universities offer the opportunity to get to know the university and the campus up close and to find out about the various study programs. Numerous events and individual advising opportunities on all aspects of studying serve to provide initial impressions of the possible study programs.
Long evening of student counseling
Every year, Fachhochschule Dortmund takes part in the state-wide Long Evening of Student Advice. At the same time as many student advice centers of other universities throughout NRW, the General Student Advisory Service of Fachhochschule Dortmund invites all prospective students, high school graduates and Fachabitur students from the afternoon into the evening to inform and advise them about the study offers and admission requirements of Fachhochschule Dortmund.
The Long Evening of Student Advice offers a wealth of information about studying in one evening and takes place between the Abitur exams and the application deadline for the winter semester.
In particular, questions can be asked about study programs, applications, contact persons, prospects and other complex decision-making situations.
Open day
On Open Day, Fachhochschule Dortmund invites students, parents, neighbors and interested parties to the three locations Emil-Figge-Straße, Sonnenstraße and Max-Ophüls-Platz to gain exciting insights into everyday university life. In addition to information about the individual faculties, the laboratories can be visited and experiments can be taken part in.
The day is intended to offer the opportunity to "look behind the scenes" and exchange ideas openly.
Summer party
In the heart of the Kreuzviertel district, Fachhochschule Dortmund invites students, pupils, friends, neighbors, colleagues and the curious. Under the motto "make it orange - the FHest", the summer festival of previous years on Sonnenstraße will shine in orange.
The varied program consists of an entertaining stage program, stimulating activities for young and old and many culinary offerings.
Campus run
2.5 kilometers, 5 kilometers or 10 kilometers. Walk, run or sprint up the stairs. Get moving in your everyday life and take part in this sporty run with an event character. Even if you are not taking part yourself, you can of course cheer on the participants!
Dragon boat festival
In summer, the Dragon Boat Festival takes place on the Phönix Lake in Dortmund-Hörde. A team from Fachhochschule Dortmund has also been taking part in the festival since 2014.
All guests and interested parties are welcome to take part or watch and cheer on the spectacle.
TalentTage Ruhr
Every year, Fachhochschule Dortmund's talent promotion department takes part in the TalentTage Ruhr event series with a variety of educational programs. More than 100 initiatives, universities, companies, chambers, associations and municipalities from the entire region support young talents in discovering and developing their skills.
