Fachhochschule Dortmund scholarship program for the promotion of study and internship stays abroad

The Fachhochschule Dortmund scholarship program can provide financial support for stays abroad (e.g. study or internship stays, research for theses or doctorates) that are not funded by other scholarship programs for various reasons.

Scholarships are awarded for stays abroad of at least two weeks to a maximum of six months. Applicants in the first stage of their studies (Bachelor) must be at least in their third semester at the time of application; applicants from Master's degree programs can apply from the first semester.

If you are enrolled at Fachhochschule Dortmund as a Bachelor's, Master's or doctoral student (no guest or second students) and are planning to go abroad to study, do an internship or conduct research for your thesis, you can apply for this scholarship.

The application deadline (exclusion) for stays

• in the summer semester is November 15
• in the winter semester is May 15

• There is no legal entitlement to the approval of funding. An internal committee decides on the allocation of funding. The decision is made in writing by the International Office. The reasons for the decision will not be disclosed.

• All grants paid to you within one year (01.01. - 31.12.) must be reported to the Dortmund - West tax office by the Fachhochschule Dortmund budget department in the following year.

• If you complete your studies in the relevant funding year and take up gainful employment, you must expect possible queries from the tax office as part of your income tax return.
