Specialist for media and information services
During your three-year training as a specialist in media and information services, specializing in libraries, you will get to know all three locations of the University of Applied Sciences in addition to the library administration. Procuring, processing and providing media of all kinds as well as working in user services are all part of the training. Another task is to borrow media that are not in our own library from other libraries at the request of users or to make media from our library available to other libraries. However, one of the most important tasks is user services. This includes the lending and return of media at the service desk, as well as the reservation of requested books. You will often also act as counseling and support for users. This includes an introduction to using the library, help with effective research, a willingness to answer all questions and to provide information and guidance.
