Resonators for vibration and noise reduction in machines and vehicles
In addition to the analytical and numerical determination of mechanical state variables of machine components, the Laboratory for Mechanics and Machine Acoustics develops resonators for the reduction of machine and vehicle vibrations and for the reduction of noise emissions from machines and vehicles.
The additively damped, beam-shaped resonators simultaneously attenuate several interference frequencies up to closed interference frequency bands in the frequency range between 1o Hz and 10 kHz without detrimental secondary effects such as coupling vibration resonances.
They can be realized in adaptive or integrative form with little design and technical effort and can be tuned to resonance frequencies, operating vibration frequencies and their harmonics as well as to frequent broadband operating and resonance vibration profiles.
