New: Electricity meters for lending

Published

The library has a new, special offer for UAS members: from now on, electricity meters are available for lending at all three locations.

The idea came about as part of the planning for the energy-saving campaign "Together less ..." at Fachhochschule Dortmund. The devices are intended to help identify "power guzzlers" in the home or office. In addition, they offer the opportunity to get an overview of the power consumption of laptops, refrigerators, coffee machines etc. and to adjust usage behavior on this basis if necessary. The service is primarily aimed at UAS students. Employees can also ask the energy scouts(Opens in a new tab)  to measure the consumption of the devices in their offices.

A total of eight devices are available for lending - four at the Emil-Figge-Str. 44 location and two each at the Sonnenstraße and Max-Ophüls-Platz locations. The devices are available on request at the lending desk and can be borrowed for two weeks. If all devices have already been borrowed, a reservation can be made via the RiO(Opens in a new tab)  literature search engine.

All further information on the devices and the direct link for a reservation can be found here:
